Our Book
Conversations…

How Was School Today? Fine. Co-authored by Shannon and her 10 year old daughter, Peyton.
Peyton and I co-authored this book to help parents and their elementary school-aged children, or "tweens" to begin conversations, continue conversations or reintroduce conversations and take them to another level. Certainly this is not an "Everything You Need to Know About Talking with Your Children Guide." You know your children better than anyone else, but this book is one more resource for busy parents who want to have another way to begin conversations with their children who are constantly growing and encountering new things every day.
We wrote this book together with both of our voices because we think perhaps children will hear her perspective better than mine and adults may hear mine better than hers. I like the adage, "Take what you like and leave the rest." We both hope this helps all parents and children know, love and respect each other more everyday.
